Short-Term Intensive Training (STIT) in Vehicle Safety Inspection& Emission Technology
Four STIT courses are offered for careers in this industry, based on State and Federal regulations. These regulations require that all motor vehicles and commercial trailers registered in Utah and operating in interstate commerce are inspected annually for safety and that all vehicles with gasoline or diesel engines are inspected at the proper interval for compliance with vehicle emissions standards.
