Shipping Your Products Overseas
An online course on international trade logistics.
As technology makes the world a smaller place, companies find that their products are in high-demand internationally. It is surprising that many companies wait until an export sale is complete before thinking about the international shipping process. Don't have your shipment held up while you develop an international shipping and documentation procedure or while searching for qualified shipping assistance and resources.
This online course is designed to provide training on the important procedures and resources available for shipping products overseas. It is particularly relevant to export marketing and sales executives, new and seasoned shipping/logistics personnel, export managing companies, international business entrepreneurs, and international business students.
Topics Covered:
- Duties of a Freight Forwarder
- Evaluating and Selecting Your Freight Forwarder
- Trade Terms (Incoterms) - Responsibilities of Seller and Buyer
- Major International Shipping Documents
- Securing an Export License, if needed
- Calculating Foreign Import Duties and Taxes
Cost: $195
The cost includes the online course and a copy of the Utah World Trade Resource Directory, which is sponsored by the Utah District Export Council. The directory will provide listings of Utah based international freight forwarders, consultants, trade finance contacts, government assistance programs and more. You will receive a certificate of training after successfully completing the course.
